Order Deposits & Payment Methods
Deposits:
Order deposits are to be paid via bank transfer or PayPal 24 hours after agreeing on a quote and the T&C’s. If the quote is confirmed but the deposit is not paid 24 hours after the agreement, the order will be cancelled and won’t be followed up.
Please note a 1.2% fee will apply when paying through PayPal .
A deposit equals 50% of an order that costs $60+ AUD and if the total equals under $60, it must be paid in full within 24 hours after the agreed-upon quote. Deposits are non-refundable once the order is confirmed.
Deposits will be half of the confirmation of the order and will not be treated as a confirmed order until a screenshot receipt is provided by the customer, with confirmation of the correct amount and banking details.
Payment Methods:
For the remainder of a deposited order or order below $60 AUD, the acceptable payment methods are listed below:
- Bank Transfer (prior to pickup or delivery)
- Cash on pick-up or delivery
- Credit or Debit Card on pick-up or delivery (please note a 1.2% fee will apply on card orders on site)
- We don't accept cheques or foreign currency
A $10 per day late fee will be added to the total balance if payment isn’t made on agreed date.
Summer Pick-Up & Delivery
During the summer months we will not be delivering orders during the hours of 10:30 am - 4:30 pm due to the perishable nature of our sweet treats. Customers can still pick up during these times but once the order leaves the property of Sammie’s Sweets, we are no longer liable for the order. Our delivery and pickup times are listed below:
Delivery Times - Morning
- Tuesday-Sunday 8:30-10:30 am
Delivery Times - Evening
- Tuesday-Sunday 4:30-8:30 pm
Pickups
- Tuesday-Sunday 7am - 9 pm
Rest of Year Pick-Up & Delivery
From March 1st to November 30, unless weather conditions are forcing a danger to Sammie’s Sweets or the customer’s order, the following times are available to schedule a pickup or delivery for your order.
Pickups - Morning
- Tuesday-Sunday - 8am - 12pm
Pickups - Afternoon
- Tuesday-Sunday - 2pm - 7pm
Deliveries - Morning
- Tuesday-Sunday - 8 am - 12pm
Deliveries - Afternoon
- Tuesday-Sunday - 2pm-8pm
Customer Storage
If the customer has any further questions or inquiries about the storage of an order’s items, feel free to message and enquire, our customer service is still imperative to us. However, if you are after a quick guide, please see below:
Cakes & Cupcakes
- Buttercream cakes are advised to be refrigerated ASAP, whether that is from a pickup to event holding or from when it is delivered
- Fondant is NOT to be refrigerated
- All cakes and cupcakes are boxed and we advise to keep in delivery or pickup condition until 30-60 minutes before serving
- If a lid is not provided due to the height of the decoration(s), leave it in the pickup or delivery condition until 30-60 minutes before serving, with buttercream to be refrigerated and fondant to not be.
Sweet Treats
Treat storage advisement will be provided on an order-to-order basis, dependent on the specificity of the treat, weather and time before the event
Cookies
All cookies are sold on an individually wrapped basis unless advised otherwise and should be stored in delivery/pickup condition in a dry place away from cooling and heating
Replication & Inspiration
Customers are encouraged to seek ideas from search engines or galleries but please note that a 100% guarantee in terms of replication cannot be provided and we tail our custom orders towards our clients' wants and needs, with Sammie’s Sweets flair.
Edible Images:
If a customer requires edible images, please note that images may vary within the theme and some images dependent on source material may print varyingly.
Acrylic & Fondant Toppers
Due to our cake toppers being outsourced via reputable local businesses on the Peninsula, a 100% replication is impossible to guarantee.
Order Alterations & Changes
If after the quote is complete and alterations/changes are wanted to be made, Sammie’s Sweets will do the absolute best we can to accommodate. Colour-scheme alterations will be matched as close as possible but dependent on seller stock cannot be guaranteed.
If fresh fruit is required on any sweets, only seasonal fruit will be provided and fruit that is available will be suggested and prices will vary dependent on seller stock.
If flowers (fresh, dried, preserved and fake) are required, only seasonal flowers will be provided and prices will vary dependent on seller stock.
If changes are to be made post-quote that require an increase in order price (flowers, fruit, toppers, decorations etc.), the cost of the changes will need to be paid within the day that the changes and price are confirmed or changes will not be made to the order.
Any creative license afforded to Sammie’s Sweets is taken very seriously and we love adding our signature flair to our sweets!
Non-Edible & Plastic Items
Please note that for large/tiered cakes, we use plastic or wooden structural dowels and during the cutting, these will need to be removed as they are integral to the structure of the cake and we want them to look as tall and proud as you deserve.
If a non-edible decoration is required by Sammie’s Sweets, they will be provided a note that a 100% replication will be strived for but dependent on either time or seller's stock, alterations may be made as close to the original as possible.
Sammie’s Sweets upon pickup or delivery do not decorate whilst setting up with products or toppers not provided by Sammie’s Sweets or a seller that provides for us (weddings excepted).
Allergies & Dietary
We have and will continually provide all matters of sweet treats catering to many allergies and dietary requirements. For specificities, please discuss during the quoting process but we have catered to the following allergies/dietary requirements in the past:

We take pride in our licensed kitchen providing for the majority of needs and as well as we believe we provide for dietary and allergy requirements, please be advised traces may exist within but for specific orders, we are relentless in our pursuit to provide your sweet treat no matter the circumstance.
Order Cancellations
Please note that if an order is cancelled by the customer after the 50% deposit is made, the initial 50% deposit is non-refundable.
If more than 50% of the order is paid, but cancellation is required by the customer more than 24 hours before the order is to be completed, all funds up to the deposit amount will be refunded ASAP.
If more than 50% of the order is paid but cancellation is required by the customer less than 24 hours before the order is to be completed, store/order credit will be given to the full amount of the order, to be used in the next 12 months from the date of the quote.
Refunds
If you are not happy with your order, contact Sammie’s Sweets via Messenger or Instagram within 12 hours of the pickup/delivery and a resolution can be agreed upon quickly and efficiently.
If the time exceeds 12 hours, a refund will not be made under any circumstances
If a refund is required, the order must be physically returned to Sammie’s Sweets within one business day to confirm the reason for to refund and if the order cannot be confirmed within this time, refunds will not be made as quality control cannot be met.
Refunds if confirmed will be made via bank transfer ONLY and will be subjected to banking transfer terms and conditions, with proof of refund via screenshot receipt provided as soon as the refund is made.
Enquiry Hours
Sammie’s Sweets on Facebook and Instagram are available for all 24 hours of the day but responses are impossible for all 24 hours of the day and we appreciate your patience.
Inquiry responses will take place between the hours of 6:30 am and 9:30 pm from Monday-Sunday, with the following dates excluded on a consistent basis:
- Christmas Day
- Boxing Day
- Good Friday
- Easter Sunday
- Easter Monday
- February 19th
Please note that if inquiries are to be made, Sammie’s Sweets’ inbox is available to message but replies will not be made until the opening hours of the proceeding day.
